The Story
Global Village Foods Pty Ltd began its journey in 2020 with a single machine, a small team, and fewer than ten products. In those early days, we were importing bulk lentils from overseas and supplying them directly to local wholesalers — fulfilling less than twenty orders a month.
Driven by a passion for quality and authenticity, we soon took a bold step forward by launching our own brands — Village Premium for lentils and spices, and Madras Premium for rice. This marked the beginning of a new chapter for us, where quality control, packaging innovation, and customer trust became our core priorities.
By early 2023, we had upgraded to a modern facility equipped with advanced machinery, enabling us to pack over 4,000 kg of Village Premium lentils daily. Our operations grew rapidly — importing more than three containers every month and serving over 200 retailers across multiple departments, fulfilling 40+ orders per week.
As our reach expanded, we extended our services to Tasmania and regional Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and proudly acquired distribution rights for Keerti Nirmal Rice and Elite Green. In 2025, we launched our frozen product line, marking yet another milestone in our growth journey.
Today, Global Village Foods continues to thrive — delivering authentic Indian products to Australian homes and businesses, powered by innovation, integrity, and a commitment to excellence.
The Start
